The majority of the classes offered at the Kali Collective are vinyasa flow based. This is a particular, unique style that allows for creativity and dynamic movement paired with the rhythm of your breath. Sequences will be different each class and you will most likely run into new poses and transitions all the time! Vinyasa is great for students who are looking to find movement, creativity, playfulness and a deep connection to their breath and body.
This is the perfect place to start if you are new to yoga or simply wanting a slower paced practice. Vinyasa 1 classes are accessible to all practitioners, regardless of experience. Other aspects of yoga such as meditation, breathing techniques and yoga philosophy will start to be introduced. Expect to have poses explained carefully and a slow paced practice.
If you are looking for a fun, creative, dynamic class, Vinyasa 2 is for you! Expect to be guided through flowing transitions and a wide range of poses in a creative, unique sequence. Vinyasa 2 classes will also start to introduce optional arm balances and inversions. More dynamic breathing techniques and philosophical concepts may be explored. This class is best if several Vinyasa 1 classes have been taken prior and you are comfortable with basic yoga poses.
This strength based class is designed for intermediate to advanced students. Basic, familiar poses will not be broken down and the pace may be faster than level 1 and 2. Creative transitions will be introduced and more advanced arm balances and inversions will be explored. A basic knowledge of breath work is useful for this class as other, more dynamic pranayamas as well as philosophical concepts will be taught.
Kula means community. It is important for us to make sure yoga is accessible to everyone in our community, therefore this class is run free or by donation so that by giving to you, we can give to others. All donations will be going to the Ramana Orphanage in Rishikesh, India, where we sponsor a 7 year old girl named Samishka. Donations are also made to a homeless charity here in Glasgow called Simon Scotland. All levels welcome.
Looking for more balance in your life? Yin/yang takes the best of both worlds, the energy and the calm and puts it into one great class. Expect about half of the class to be vinyasa 1 - 2, with the other half being yin style yoga. All levels welcome.
Yin yoga is a beautiful practice that requires poses to be held for several minutes with the intention of getting into the connective tissue. The majority of the class will be seated and taught by candlelight to create a very relaxing, nurturing environment. Light meditation and breath work may be introduced. The benefits of yin yoga are to destress, get quiet, and create more space and flexibility in the body. All levels welcome.
Yoga nidra consists of a guided meditation and breath work to allow you to become deeply relaxed. You will be laying down in a quiet, calm environment. Bring layers and socks to make yourself comfortable! Benefits include the release of muscular, emotional and mental tension as well as creating stillness in the mind. All levels welcome.
Meditation is a great practice to slow down the mind and create a space of stillness and quiet. Many techniques will be taught so you feel empowered to take your meditation home with you. Many benefits come with meditation, including a sense of calm, focus, a greater connection to the body and an overall sense of peace. All levels welcome.
These classes are like getting a big cuddle! Expect to be supported by props as you are taken into a slow paced, quiet and calm yoga class. This class is perfect for anyone who is looking to destress or ground themselves and is a great way to start cultivating body awareness and get familiar with the benefits of yoga. All levels welcome.

Looking for a physical, mental and emotional boost? We offer many classes that will help you get into your body and feel empowered and strong! Be prepared to have fun and maybe get a little (or a lot!) of a sweat on! Suggestions: Vinyasa 2, Vinyasa 3, Barre, Yin/Yang.
Healing from Pain or Injury:
We believe that yoga has the power to heal physical, emotional and mental ailments. We are passionate about creating a space that will allow you to connect to the healing powers you already have inside. In addition to the following classes, one to one classes can also be very helpful! Suggestions: Yin yoga, restorative, yoga nidra, meditation.
Flexibility & Stretching:
Although all classes will require a moderate level of flexibility, there are several classes that are more focused to creating this feeling in the body. Suggestions: Yin/yang, Yin, Restorative, Vinyasa 1.
At the Kali Collective, we pride ourselves in making all of our classes accessible and welcoming to both sexes. Suggestions: Not fussy about your flexibility and just want a sweat? Vinyasa 2 or 3 (Power) is for you. Never tried yoga or think you’re really stiff? Vinyasa 1, Yin, Restorative or Kula are your best bet.
