Steph has a passion for empowering others through the tradition of yoga. She is the owner of The Kali Collective Yoga Studio in Glasgow and runs 200 hour yoga teacher trainings, workshops and retreats all over the world. Steph has over 500 hours of training, primarily with her teacher Julia McCabe and has spent many hours training with physiotherapists to grow her knowledge of anatomy. Steph has a strong focus on the philosophy and traditions of yoga while infusing her studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine and energy healing. It is clear from spending time with Steph that her greatest teachers are her friends, family, students and the lessons she has received from spending years traveling. Steph used all the tools from her trainings and experience to deliver a strong, introspective, loving vinyasa class.

Katrino Indigo | Vinyasa, Restorative and Yoga Nidra
Katrino began studying with curiosity and practising yoga while living in Canada in 2010. She graduated from The Seasonal Yoga Academy as a 200hr Yoga teacher under the guidance of Julie Hanson, Sue Wood, Marit Griffith and Rory Trollen. Completing Steph Wall's 'Beyond the 200' Vinyasa mentorship programme in Glasgow, her offerings include Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, Deep Relaxation, Meditation and Pranayama, while combining subtle elements of the seasons into her flows. Katrino has continued her study through various branches of yoga styles and teachers to deepen her knowledge of the physical and energetic body. Using her knowledge of sential oils and aromatherapy she combines all these techniques and styles into her classes to create a sensory space for students to dive deep into the wisdom, the sounds and the experience that lies within.
Claire Innes | Vinyasa Yoga
I attended my first yoga class with a smorgasbord of issues in relation to exercise, my body and my overall confidence. My first ever class was a Power Vinyasa one, and I left the class exhausted and exhilarated in equal measure – it was love at first chaturaga (honest!) Fast forward a few years, and my love for yoga has brought so many positive changes to my physical body, self-esteem and belief in my potential to achieve aspirations in every area of my life. If you don’t believe that yoga can be that incredible, I encourage you to get your ass on a mat, start exploring you, and find out for yourself!
In 2015, I began Yoga Teacher Training with trepidation, but a sincere desire to deepen my connection to yoga as a whole-life practice and open up the possibility of teaching. Completing my 200hrs with the Classical Yoga School in Glasgow over a year, I realised how much I truly want to share the many gifts that yoga has brought to my life with others, as a teacher. I remain a passionate learner - constantly developing my knowledge and offering that sense of curiosity to my students as we work together in class.
My classes are strong, flowing and fun, aimed at students who wish to cultivate strength and endurance in their asana practice. In keeping with the Vinyasa tradition, we move with stability and grace, energised by the constant flow of breath to challenge ourselves mindfully. Above all, I aim to help my students connect to the self-expression and fun that yoga asana practice offers – leaving each class feeling that little bit taller, stronger, brighter (and hopefully with lovely smiling faces)!
Alice Gray | Vinyasa Yoga
Inspired by many types of yoga, I take the fluidity of Vinyasa Flow, the heart-orientated approach of Anusara and the vigour of Ashtanga – and weave what I love from each into my classes. I teach a slow but strong flow that balances both strength with freedom and effort with ease. Dynamic sequencing is combined with steady holds and intelligent alignment, while playfulness is combined with thoughtfulness. My aim is for students to come away feeling empowered, and ultimately, better about themselves. Expect intention setting, heart-felt philosophy, pranayama, meditation, humour and warmth. When there is music, expect it to be eclectic and uplifting.
I started yoga in my late teens and, like many, initially treated it as a form of exercise to get physically strong and flexible. I kept going back to classes, not realising that everything that happened for me during class was also providing me with valuable lessons and insights into the ups and downs of my everyday life. Yoga made me more strong and flexible on a much deeper plane than I thought it would. When not teaching and practising, I am studying an MSc in Psychology as part of my interest in the unity of science with spirituality, and ongoing training in counselling and psychotherapy skills.
I give complete gratitude to my teachers who continue to guide me. Thank you also to their teachers, who in turn have guided me too. May the beautiful lessons of yoga continue to be passed on.
Scott McDonald | Vinyasa Yoga
Scott attended his first yoga class at Chi and Co in June 2011 and under the guidance of Karen Naismith hasn’t looked back since. He graduated in 2015 at the Seasonal Yoga Academy under the teachings of Julie Hanson, Sue Woodd and Rory Trollen. This 12 month course helped him deepen his practice and gain a real appreciation of Seasonal Yoga.
He is currently continuing to expand his knowledge of Seasonal Yoga and further develops his physical practice through regularly attending led Ashtanga and Mysore style classes. Scott enjoys the variety, flexibility and strength that comes with Seasonal Yoga and benefits from the discipline that Ashtanga brings. He sometimes combines these two practices into a vinyasa flow that challenges and chills you out at the same time.
Scott is passionate about making his classes welcoming for newcomers and long-time yogis. He firmly believes that yoga is for everyone and will adapt the practice to cater specifically to your capability and needs. Expect a strong practice which focuses on strength and foundation.
Courtney Bailey | Barre
A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Courtney stumbled upon Barre classes at her local studio as a way to further her dance career. She is now a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance. Courtney has performed throughout the US and all over Scotland, and has also completed several world tour contracts on board Holland America Cruise Lines. After returning home from cruising, Courtney started teaching barre and dance in her hometown but upon meeting her husband, decided to move to Scotland to continue her passion for dance and fitness. To date, she has taught at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Dance School of Scotland, Dance Glasgow, and Razzamataz Theatre Schools. She is delighted to be a part of Kali Collective and enjoys guiding students to discover how far they can persevere and seeing their "Ah-ha!" moments. When Courtney's out of the studio, she enjoys working on projects, which include furthering her acrobatic skills and becoming a mom!
Claire Fisher | Vinyasa Yoga
Claire started practising yoga halfway through her PhD in Psychology. Not only did she find that yoga brings peace of mind and relaxation of body, she also noticed how this physical practice strips away self-doubt and replaces it with an “I can” mentality. This mindset inspired Claire to train as a fitness instructor during the final year of her PhD and subsequently complete her 200 hours Vinyasa Teacher Training in India with Steph Wall.
Claire loves the capacity that yoga has for creative expression and sees each practice as a chance to harmonise mind and body by getting imaginative with movement. Her classes offer the space to quiet your mind, connect to your breath, and give yourself a whole lot of love.
Amy Dolan | Pilates
Amy trained as a dancer at The Hammond School in Chester and completed her Matwork Pilates Teacher Training in 2017, with StretchBodyMind and Kali Collective, gaining Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates Matwork (Active IQ).
Amy began studying Pilates as a form of rehabilitation for a neuromuscular condition back in 2009. Since then, Pilates has been a huge part of her life and she is so excited to be able to impart some knowledge and understanding of this wonderful technique to others.
Based in Glasgow, she also works in Arts Management.
Amy is delighted to be teaching Pilates at Kali Collective and enlightening students to the all-round benefits of Joseph Pilates’ method.
Lorraine Livingstone | Yin Yoga and Holistic Therapies
After coming into contact with my first yoga experience, I felt like my world had changed for the better. It was the beginning of a new journey, learning to respect the spiritual aspect of my being as well as the physical. I started to practice 2-3 times a week noticing how it calmed my mind, gave me more focus and made me appreciate the little things, while strengthening my body and improving my flexibility.
While traveling the world, a chance encounter with a fellow backpacker who happened to be a recently qualified yoga teacher, led me to 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh India in January 2015. My time in India and the 200 hour YTT completely changed me in ways I could never have imagined. The benefits of a daily asana and meditation practice have been incredible, improving both my physical and mental wellbeing.
This new outlook on life also gave me the confidence to leave a long career in corporate finance. In June 2016 following intense study at City of Glasgow College I gained an HNC in Complementary Therapies. Qualifications awarded include; Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology and Stress Management. I have since enhanced my skills, successfully completing courses in Deep Tissue Massage and Pre/Post Sports Massage.
I believe that Yoga and Holistic Therapies when combined have many health benefits and are essential self-care for the body, mind and spirit. I provide a range of Holistic Therapies each treatment is tailored to your individual needs, applying customised techniques. And my yoga classes are accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability or background.
