In vinyasa yoga we can put a lot of disproportionate stress on our shoulders. In this workshop you will learn why and how to strengthen the entire shoulder girdle and cultivate greater balance in this area. You will work through key techniques in weight-bearing postures that will reduce repetitive stress and help mitigate common potential injury. You'll use this knowledge within the workshop to explore actions of the shoulders in fundamental postures such as down dog and chaturanga, and how to skilfully build on these principles when doing inversions. For both newer and more experienced students with a regular practice.
