Yin Yoga & Meditation for Spring with Lorraine

Join Lorraine for an exploratory workshop of Yin Yoga and Meditation.  This workshop will focus on the seasonal spring meridians in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) of the liver and gallbladder. We will look to replenish, balance and restore on a physical and emotional level.

Yin yoga is a practice of long-held floor-based poses, typically held between three to five minutes, these longer held poses apply steady pressure on the connective tissues of the body, such as the tendons, ligaments and fascia. Increasing circulation to the joints and improving flexibility. It also focuses on opening and unblocking your meridians (energy pathways) that run through your body. These meridians directly affect you and your organs.

As Yin Yoga is a more meditative approach to yoga.  We will also put strong focus on cultivating stillness in the body and in the mind.
