In regular public classes we rarely get the chance to focus fully on working to bigger backbends. In this two-and-a-half-hour workshop led by Alice, you’ll learn how to safely and effectively deepen your experience in this family of postures.
We will look at a variety of techniques to strengthen the back body and open the front body so that we can build towards and/or deepen our experience in postures such as Wheel Pose and its variations, Dancers Pose, Inverted Staff Pose, and King Pidgeon. Opportunity to try out assisted drop backs will be there for students also should they wish.
This workshop is for those with a regular yoga practice wishing to take the time to deepen their understanding of backbends and learn how to sustainably advance their full experience in these postures.
