Program Description:

Yoga is a 4000 year old sacred tradition that demands commitment, discipline and deep work on the Self. This program is designed to take people a step further into the tradition and into themselves by diving deep into the offering of Yoga. This is more than just having an interest in yoga, this is for those who are out of the honeymoon phase with their practice and feel at a deep level that they are ready to continue diving deep.

This training is grounded in the roots of Vinyasa yoga and will be delivered with a high respect and integrity towards the tradition of yoga. Students should expect a training that will encourage a journey into the self by diving deep into the following topics:

  • Yoga philosophy including Classical and Tantra

  • Subtle Anatomy covering the Chakra System, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda

  • Yoga History

  • Mythology

  • Modern yoga and current issues including cultural appropriation of yoga

  • Classical texts such as the Yoga Sutras and The Bhagavad Gita

This Yoga Teacher Training is designed to cater for both those who want to deepen their existing practice and understanding of yoga and those who want to learn how to teach yoga. In order to fulfil both intentions, this training will be divided into 2 modules. Module 2 is designed to teach people how to guide yoga and will cover topics such as:

  • teaching methods

  • vinyasa sequencing

  • business of yoga

  • theming and effective cueing

  • in depth functional physical anatomy

  • ethics

For 2020, you will have two different options for how you complete module 1. Whichever you decide, you will have time between modules to integrate and practice.

Option One: 4 weekends in March & April at The Kali Collective Yoga Studio in Glasgow

Option Two: 7 day intensive on the Isle of Arran in May.

We will only be teaching Module 2 once in 2020 and this will be across 4 weekends at The Kali Collective in Glasgow, Scotland in June & July.

Option One - Non Residential

Module 1: The Kali Collective Yoga Studio, Glasgow UK, March & April 2020

The purpose of this layout is to accommodate those who would like an alternative to my immersive trainings. This is perfect for anyone who cannot take time off work and would prefer to do their training over the weekends.

In addition, we are hoping that offering a more affordable option will give more access to a wider range of people to be able to participate in the training.

Because of the central location of The Kali Collective, the studio is easily accessible by car, bus, train or foot. This allows for accessibility to those who live outside the area as well.
