I initially started Pilates due to poor posture and lower back injury from work. I was immediately hooked - not only because of the benefits it had on my injury but also due to my improved core strength, spine health, flexibility and the benefits it had to my mind and nervous system.
My practice stems from the classical Pilates method by Joseph Pilates, with additional contemporary twists. My aim is to instruct a class focused on the core principles of Pilates, and therefore tailor the class to my clients needs and goals and make the environment as welcoming and inclusive as possible. Coming from a nursing background, safety is at the forefront of my classes. I am very observant and understand the importance of modifications, and hands on adjustments if appropriate.
My values are inclusivity, empowerment and community. I strive to motivate individuals to do their best but also introduce new challenges each week to keep the classes exciting. I love when the energy and environment feels open, to allow clients to talk to me and each other to create and maintain positive relationships.
