Hot Yoga Classes in the Destroyer
Discover Hot Yoga at our Glasgow studio – designed to energise, challenge and inspire you.
What is hot yoga?
Hot Yoga is a yoga class in a room that is heated above normal temperatures. Our hot yoga classes are held in our Destroyer Studio space which is heated to 32°C for hot vinyasa or to 26°C for warm yin and restorative classes. We heat the room with infrared panels hanging from the ceiling and on the walls. Infrared heat allows for a clean, spacious feeling heat without a lot of moisture in the air. Infrared heats objects, not the air, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. The heat can add an extra challenge to your practice so it’s best to come prepared with a small hand towel to wipe away any excess.
Meet the Destroyer Studio.
Our hot yoga studio, located in Glasgow, is in the same building as our non-heated space, the Creator. The guiding vision of our studio is the Hindu Goddess, Kālī. She symbolises the ever-changing nature of life, the realms of the mystery and the unknown and the dissolution of dualities, among many other things. A duality within the human ego that Yoga helps us dissolve is the preference for the "light" in life and a disregard or avoidance of the "dark". Kālī, a symbol for both birth and death, teaches us that both are to be seen and honoured and that one cannot exist without the other.
The Destroyer is a physical expression of the darkness that is an essential part of life. Filled with dried flowers, imagery of snakes and skeletons in every corner (fake ones, of course!), we dim the lights down low and wrap ourselves in the blackness of the studio to dive deeply into ourselves. The Destroyer is a space to remember that the shadow or darker parts of ourselves and life all belong and are a part of the human experience. Whatever your practice brings to the surface, our space is there to hold you.

Hot vinyasa classes
We have several different hot vinyasa classes on the timetable including hot gentle, hot vinyasa, and hot intermediate yoga. If you are new to yoga as a practice in general we’d suggest joining in for Hot Gentle Yoga which is our most beginner-friendly hot yoga flow class. This will allow you to get familiar with yoga postures at a slower pace while still enjoying all the benefits of the heated studio.
Warm yin and restorative classes
We also host several hot yin and restorative yoga classes in our Destroyer Studio. These classes are ideal if you are looking for restoration, relaxation and longer held positions. Stay warm and cosy as you unfurl your body, our hot yoga studio allows your muscles to fully relax and unfold without the intensity of flow.
